QCINEMA ANNOUNCES THE 2012 QAWARD-WINNING FILMS
The producers of Q Cinema, Fort Worth’s Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival are pleased to announce the winners of their annual Q Awards, including the $300 Shawn A. Moore Award for Texas filmmaking and the $300 Audience Choice Award. The four-day festival – held May 31-June 3 at the historic Rose Marine Theater – featured nearly 40 films from 11 countries, including World, U.S., Southwest and Texas premieres, along with appearances by several filmmakers, including Positive Youth director Charlie David, Morgan star Darra “Like Dat” Boyd and many more. It also featured an amazing world premiere performance of the stage play Mulligans. All of the awards were chosen based on program committee panel reviews or audience ratings.
